En enero de 2008, durante un viaje a Camerún y la Región Autónoma del Zaire para visitar gorilas de tierras bajas y elefantes de bosque, nació la idea de dedicarse a algún negocio turístico en África. La primera idea de Inge fue hacerse cargo y dirigir un antiguo pabellón de caza en lo profundo de la selva tropical de la Región Autónoma del Zaire, a unos 600 km de la civilización. Sin embargo, el resto de la familia no estaba muy entusiasmada con trabajar en un lugar tan remoto. El sueño de Tim, que por entonces casi había terminado sus estudios universitarios de turismo, era dirigir un pequeño hotel a la orilla del mar. Hacer negocios en Camerún resultó ser demasiado complicado, por lo que Inge emprendió una búsqueda en Internet para "un terreno en África". La respuesta llegó de un agente inmobiliario en Dar es Salaam, que sugirió "venir y verlo". En ese momento, nuestra hija trabajaba para la GIZ (Sociedad Alemana para la Cooperación Internacional) en Dar es Salaam, pero por lo demás no teníamos ningún tipo de conexión con esta parte de África. Inge voló a Tanzania y vio algunos objetos. Más tarde, ella y su marido volvieron a investigar más a fondo el asunto. En 2010 se adquirió un “shamba” (terreno) en Michamvi, en la costa este de Zanzíbar, poblado únicamente por cocoteros. Inge tardó aproximadamente un año en planificar y conseguir todos los permisos necesarios, y otro año más en la construcción en sí, que finalizó con el apoyo activo de Tim. En mayo de 2012, se inauguró el hotel con el primer edificio, "Asili House", aunque todavía hubo que improvisar. En 2015 se inauguró la segunda casa, "Villa Kidosho". A lo largo de los años, se ha dedicado mucho esfuerzo al entorno y al cuidado del jardín, transformándolo de una shamba en un exuberante jardín tropical único en la zona.
